(Mrs. Birdie Mae Figg / Speedy / Pleasant Peasant / Charwoman / Dorothy Day Spokesperson) reprises the 5 roles she created for the original LA production of I Love Lucy® Live On Stage. She served as Dance Captain for LA & 2013-14 National Tour & was Dance Assistance to Rick Sparks for the Chicago staging. Denise originated the role of Grandma Nunzio in the NYC Off-B’way hit, Tony ’n Tina’s Wedding, and she reprised that role in LA & San Francisco. She has toured to over 100 colleges/clubs/theaters with her original one woman multi-character comedy show. Denise is thrilled to be working again with director Rick Sparks. Previous RLS directed productions – Don’t Talk to the Actors (Laguna Playhouse); They Shoot Horses, Don’t They (Greenway Court Theatre); A Charlie Brown Commercial Christmas (Greenway Court Theatre); Dead Bride Running; Tallulah; Highballs Ahoy. Other stage credits include: The Wizard of Oz (“Wicked Witch”/Santa Barbara CLO); The Foreigner (“Betty”/Grove Theater Center); Lend Me a Tenor (“Maria”/ Grove Theater Center); Peter Pan (“Tiger Lily”/Lyric Theatre, OKC). TV credits include: “Gilmore Girls”, “General Hospital”, “Passions”, “Almost Perfect”, “Totally Hidden Video”, “The New America’s Funniest People” and “My Talk Show”. Commercial roles include: disgruntled housewives, quirky office workers, nun, wicked witch, hopscotching factory worker, school cafeteria lady, spontaneously combusting spinster & the Mona Lisa. She has appeared in a handful of indie features & shorts. Denise is proud to have earned her Equity card playing Porky Pig & her SAG card as a dancing egg.
